Bloom
A Floral Transformative Sequence Animated Using Parametric Computation
Bloom was inspired by simplifying the geometry of natural plant life. The entire structure was created using three spaced points as the starting base. These three points were then connected in Grasshopper to create a simple curve, from which the rest of the geometry was born. The curve was scaled using square exponential equations, and arrayed both linearly and radially. The radius of each branch tier is decided by equally dividing the points on the base curve and using each indexed distance from the origin point as an incremental scaling factor.
